We uncover the dark secret of chess, discuss the most important work in literary history regarding magical choices, and learn how to just go along for the ride.

Oh boy. 2020 sure was a year, huh? Many things looked different this year, but one thing stayed the same: our love of reading fic. Before we put 2020 behind us we decided to take a look back at what fic & fandoming looked like for us, and give shoutouts to some of the fics that stuck with us the most. In this episode your hosts take a break from our usual fic format to instead reflect on what this past year has looked like. We share some of our thoughts on how the pod has changed from its inception to now, answer questions submitted by fellow ficlets, and reminisce on some favorite fic discussions and episodes. We are so thankful for each and every one of you who has supported us along the way, and we absolutely can’t wait to see what next year will bring <3
